A former teacher and fellow of The Pennsylvania Writing Project, Elizabeth Esris founded Opus, an award winning student literary magazine. Recent work appears in Passager, Smoky Blue Literary and Arts Magazine, and France Revisited. Elizabeth wrote the libretto for Elegy for a Prince in collaboration with composer Sergio Cervetti. It was a finalist in The VOX Opera Competition sponsored by New York City Opera in 2007. In 2019, the second act was performed in concert at Carnegie Hall.
