VOLTA [vohl-tuh]: (Italian for "turn") a dramatic shift in thought, tone, emotion, or argument. It acts as a pivot point in a poem, often introducing a resolution to a previously stated problem, a revelation, or a change in perspective.

Welcome to our newest offering, The Turn.

Each month, we will alternate between an online open mic opportunity, and an online writer’s workshop where we’ll explore subjects, themes, topics, skills and other writing tools.

Preregister to attend.

We will begin with an Open Mic this month.

• If you would like to share some of your work, please bring one poem/prose page, no more than 3 minutes.
