The Art of Response: Ekphrastic Writing

One art form can spark another, creating powerful and sometimes unexpected connections. You are invited to join us, in collaboration with the Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, PA for a unique program, pairing art and on-location writing.

Each 2-hour session will focus on a different work of art or specific exhibition. We will begin in the galleries with a brief presentation by a Michener docent offering insight into the artist and their work. From there, workshop leaders from the Volta Center for Writing Arts will guide participants through a generative writing experience. The focus of the program will be: The Crossing: Picturing the American Revolution

Writers of all levels and in any genre are welcome.
